Heat pump radiators
The pump works, but the radiator does not heat? Our customers very often contact us and report such a problem. Regulus products prove that the radiator does not have to be hot to provide heat in the room. Thanks to using water with temperature of 35-45°C you will quickly obtain optimal temperature in your house, and save energy needed by the heat pump to heat the water. Regulus radiators for heat pumps are the perfect solution for you – find out what you can gain!
Why doesn’t your current radiator work with a heat pump?
A pump is a low-temperature heat source. This means that the water is heated to a lower temperature than in case of a gas boiler or coal stove. In the case of heat pumps, it is only 35-45°C.
With traditional steel or cast-iron radiators, this is not enough. You need a special radiator, adapted to a low temperature heating medium.
To meet the needs of our customers we have created just such a product – a lightweight, fast heating Regulus radiator that works even at low water temperatures. It is a way for you not only to warm your home but also to save money! By heating water to relatively low temperatures you will reduce energy consumption.
How Regulus radiators differ from traditional radiators?
When designing radiators for Regulus heat pumps, we decided to use copper and aluminum properties. Thanks to the use of these materials, radiators quickly and efficiently transfer heat to the environment, and you can enjoy the optimal temperature in your home.
Our radiators are lightweight and compact (their depth is only 9 cm), which allows you to use them where wall space is limited. We also use copper and aluminum because of other properties of these metals – they are rustproof and ensure a longer life for our radiators. They remain tight even for 25 years!
Compared to traditional steel products, Regulus radiators have smaller water capacity. However, this does not mean lower heating efficiency. On the contrary, a small amount of the heating medium ensures faster circulation of water in the system.
The effectiveness of heating in the case of our radiators is also affected by their construction. In traditional steel products, the heating medium is embedded in the walls. This makes steel radiators work mainly by radiation and the warm air then largely heats the wall instead of circulating freely around the room.
In case of Regulus radiators adapted for heat pumps it is different. We have designed them in such a way that hot water flows in pipes located inside the radiator, from which heat is distributed to the outside using fins.
Thanks to this the heat goes primarily to where you need it, without unnecessary losses. Radiators transfer their heat in two ways – by radiation and mainly by convection (natural or forced if a the radiator is equipped with a fan).
A radiator that cools? It is possible!
Regulus radiators cooperating with heat pumps is also offered in version with a 24V fan – as REVERS model. This combination will allow you to use them all year round. During the heating season, the fans can increase the radiators efficiency by up to 40% without increasing the demand for heated water.
In the summer, you can use 24V fan radiators as a way to cool air in your home. Your heat pump will also inject cold water into the circuit – if you use this feature, you will create a simple cooling system at no extra cost!
By forcing the circulation with the fan, the cold air will be directed upwards, which will allow to reduce the temperature throughout the room by several degrees.
Heat pump and underfloor heating – the only good combination? It’s a myth!
You may encounter opinions that heat pump heated water is only suitable for an underfloor heating system and not for radiators.
This is not entirely true – the key is primarily the effect you want to achieve. Many people opt for underfloor heating, which is invisible in rooms and gives more interior design options (due to the lack of radiators on the walls). Such a system also provides even heating. All these advantages of underfloor heating are of course true; however one should remember about serious disadvantages of such solution.
Underfloor heating gives less possibilities of controlling temperature inside the house. Since pipes placed under the floor have to heat sometimes even several hundred tons of concrete, they work much slower than radiators. It usually takes many hours to reach the optimal temperature.
This also works the other way – if it gets too hot, you must wait a similar amount of time to cool the room.
What are the advantages of Regulus radiators over underfloor heating systems?
First, the installation is easy. Just place the radiator on the wall and connect it to the installation. You can do it at any time, without major renovation.
This is a big difference compared to underfloor heating, which is installed either during the finishing works in a new building or during a general renovation. In other cases, it is very expensive or even impossible.
This heating system also proves to be versatile, unlike underfloor heating which can only be installed in certain conditions (not suitable for rooms with wooden or laminate floors, for example).
Coming back from a long winter walk or wanting to ensure comfortable conditions during a family breakfast, you cannot wait that long. Regulus radiators will allow you to avoid such problems. Just a few liters of water are enough to heat them up to the proper temperature.
This does not mean that you have to give up floor heating altogether. We always recommend our customers to combine both systems (if they have such a possibility, of course).
Underfloor heating is suitable for installation in bathrooms or corridors, where the floor is usually covered with tiles. Radiators, on the other hand, work best in rooms – bedroom, dining room or living room, where the possibility of free temperature regulation is important.
Match your Regulus radiator to your interior design
If you are an aesthetically sensitive person who pays a lot of attention to finishing details, the sight of a traditional white radiator against a colored wall may bother you. However, there is no need to worry about that either.
At your request, we will paint your Regulus radiator in a color chosen by you from RAL K7 or TIGER palette. Thanks to that you can visually hide it on the wall.
The modern-looking Regulus will also become a distinctive element of your interior design, if necessary. A colorful radiator contrasting with a wall of a subdued color is a detail that will surely draw the attention of your guests.
How will your Regulus radiator look like? It is up to you! You can choose from over 200 colors from a rich palette of colors. For a small additional charge, you can also choose a radiator painted in metallic or textured paint, giving it a particularly elegant look.
Regardless of which model you choose and in what configuration it will be, you can count on the rapid implementation of the order. The individual project will not affect the waiting time – after the purchase we will immediately proceed to the production of the radiator, so that your product is ready as soon as possible.
Statistics are a confirmation: as many as 99% of orders are realized within 2 weeks. The easiest and fastest way to buy radiators through our online store – you will find there a full range of products.
